Melbourne-Tasmania-Melbourne part 3

Continue...
Day4(day 1 in Tasmania)-we fly domestic to Launceston, Tasmania. Have u see the Island of Tasmania? (it's a heart shape)

We got there close to brunch time, got our hertz rental car and set off for our brunch.

We went to Elaia Cafe, a place close by our lodge. The poached egg was cooked to perfection my parents loved it. Love how the eggs, spinach and bacon combined so well together.

We don't have a lot of time because tasmania are mostly wildlife are with a lot of scenic area to visit so we quickly make our way to cradle mountain. It took us around 2.5-3hrs drive from our lodge.

We chose a couple of short walks that are doable for my parents because my dad's legs are not in the best condition so we just enjoyed a short stroll, the freshness of the air and the view.

This was mostly what we see in Tasmania, lots and lots of empty land except Hobart which I will talk more about it as I go on.

From there we then head back to our lodge because shops in Tasmania close rather early, like around 5 or so except for some restaurants.

Are your dad like mine? He needs rice, basically Chinese food. So as we were on our way back to our lodge we stopped by this Chinese dynasty restaurant. And don't judge the book by its cover, the exterior of the building was meh but the interior was jaw dropping. I wish I had taken a photo of the exterior of the building but I guess I was too tired from the driving and I am hungry.

After dinner, we went to Coles to buy some water and eggs and some other necessities for us when we travel on the road. And I got this crispy M&M introduced by my baby sister, loved it.

Then we drove around the town of Launceston which most of the shops was closed. It's a relatively small town.

And here was our lodge:)

Day5(day 2 in Tasmania)-we drove to St Helen which is on the way to Binalong Bay about a 2.5hr drive to have some oysters. Salty seas are not a restaurant, they are wholesalers for locals restaurants to buy fresh ingredients. We bought a couple of prawns and oysters, they are really fresh.

Our stomach are not full enough so we went on to Binalong Bay and drop by Moresco which was the only restaurant over there. Their calamari and fish, yummy! Crispy on the inside and so soft on the outside. The vegetables on the side was so refreshing too. And not forgetting my amazing latte. Such a good place to eat and enjoy the view.

After all the sight seeing we went to the town of St Helen to walk around but there are not much to buy. As I was telling my friend the other time; i didn't buy any souvenirs because there are not many to choose from and I think are not very special either. So we just have a relaxing walk and drive.

As dinner comes, we went to this restaurant called blue shed and yes it's a boat restaurant with not many seats inside.

This was the inside of the boat. As you can see there was a counter and a couple of tables on the side and that's it. But don't let that fool you because the food was divine.

The owner was so nice and patient because we weren't sure what to order as we would really like to try the local specialties so he told us trevalla fish was really good. And damn he is right.

After dinner we drove back again to Launceston.

And that sums up our first 2 days in Tasmania.
