Pizza Hut - the Original Cheesy 7 pockets

Have any of you seen the somewhat recent ad for pizza hut on their new item, the original cheesy 7 pockets? I did and yes I buy what I look. However, it's too cheesy for me, well obviously in their fine prints, they listed out the number of cheese being put into the pizza, so I can't blame them; but after the 1st slice I am never going back for a 2nd, it's too much to take in. 

Their current promo, which i bought, was the additional regular classic with just an additional $3; and i chose the meat galore (you can't get wrong with this). 

This is just the perfect combo for a small gathering with friends and chill out at home. We ordered the regular which was the 9 inch perfect for party of 4-6.

Fu Hui Wonton Mee / Lor mee

Okay this stall is really tucked within HDB blocks so it wouldn't be easy to find if one do not live in the Bishan area because it is not visible off the main street. Many went for their Lor Mee, their thick broth of soup with a touch of vinegar is to die for, for some. However, this time around I went for their wonton mee, it is lightly flavored to satisfaction and their noodles are a handful, way more than enough for one's consumption. 

At this stall I would recommend their crispy fish, that they used to put on top of the lor mee as a garnish but I call it for a separate order because it's very crispy by itself rather than being dipped into the lor mee soup.

Tiong Bahru Food Market & Hawker Centre

Are you looking for something juicy and spicy? If you are, here's the place. The combination is super plain and ordinary but oh my!! their belachan (chilli) is such a wonder. Their chicken are so crispy and tender. 

After having the adrenaline going through your body with the spiciness, we cool it down with a bowl of cheng teng. Yummy!! I usually told the lady to go easy on the sugar because it's too sweet for me. After the adjustment, yum yum yum, what a perfect ending for my meal. 

Bakerzine - Strawberry Shortcake

I've got to introduce this strawberry shortcake from Bakerzine. Yummy!! The sponge cake was so fluffy and the cream wasn't very sweet or overpowering. It was a very nice and light fruit cake.

we ordered this for my sister birthday and we all enjoyed it.

For those who loves macaroons, you got to try theirs. I don't know is it me or is it just my biase opinion, I just feel that all macaroons are so good, if they are soft and not too sweet. For my personal favorite, I love their pistachio macaroon:) yummy!!

Teochew Fish Ball Noodle Dry/Soup

This is a back dated update. The other day I was at Tiong Bahru, I came across this stall, look at the queue. Yes, I went and got it because of the queue. I think they are well know for their fish ball because their fish ball are really good. Some people even ordered an extra bowl of fish ball soup. So, fans of fish ball, go for it.

Neo garden catering

I just want to share my splendid experience catering with neo garden. I had a housewarming held over the weekend, I wish I had a closer and clearer picture of the food but I was so busy that day that I could only took a quick snap shots. Their service are so prompt. We ordered 120 pax of food divided into 2 sessions and their food are really good. We ordered seafood fried rice, fried bihun, sushi platter,gong bao fish, prawn cereal, signature curry, sio may, spring roll, sotong ball, mushroom brocolli and for dessert we ordered the mini chocolate eclair, honeydew with sago and lastly, fruit punch for the drinks.

We had a very successful housewarming! We enjoyed ourselves.

Dessert anyone? Who says Monday has to always be gloomy. Well at least for this Monday, mine is a sweet Monday.
